Archive Policy
NIHAYAH: Journal of Islamic Studies implements a digital archiving system to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility of all published articles.
All published content is permanently stored within the OJS database and can be accessed at any time by readers. The journal also participates in several digital preservation programs, including:
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): This system ensures that libraries can create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
- CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): In addition to LOCKSS, this system guarantees continuous access even if the journal is no longer published.
- Internet Archive: The journal’s content is periodically archived to ensure long-term online availability.
NIHAYAH also stores backup copies on the internal server of Yayasan An Nur Menara Baro as an additional preservation measure.
The journal encourages authors and readers to perform self-archiving of the final published version (PDF) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other academic platforms, provided that a proper citation to the official source in NIHAYAH Journal of Islamic Studies is included.
Self-Archiving Policy:
- Authors are allowed to deposit the pre-print version (before peer review) in personal or institutional repositories.
- Authors are allowed to deposit the post-print version (after peer review and acceptance) before publication.
- Authors are allowed to deposit the published version (final PDF) after publication with a link to the official journal website.
All archived materials are available through Open Access, in line with the journal’s commitment to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly knowledge.
