Publication Process
The publication process in Mukhtasab: Journal of Economics and Islamic Business is designed to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, transparency, and integrity. Every manuscript submitted to this journal undergoes a systematic editorial and peer-review procedure prior to publication.
- Submission Stage: Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All submissions must follow the journal’s author guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Initial Screening: The editorial team conducts a preliminary review to evaluate the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s scope and ethical standards. Manuscripts that fail to meet basic requirements may be returned to the author for revision or rejected at this stage.
- Peer Review Process: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers assess the manuscript’s scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, and clarity of presentation.
- Revision and Decision: Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team decides whether the manuscript is accepted, requires revision, or is rejected. Authors are encouraged to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments within the specified time frame.
- Editing and Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts undergo editorial editing, language correction, and layout formatting to ensure clarity, consistency, and conformity with the journal’s style guidelines.
- Publication: After the final approval from the Editor-in-Chief, the manuscript is scheduled for online publication in the upcoming issue. The journal adopts an open-access policy, allowing readers to freely download and share published articles for non-commercial use.
