About the Journal

Bidayah: Journal of Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the scholarly discussion of various dimensions of Islam and the Muslim world. Inspired by the philosophical essence of Bidayah (the beginning or foundational step), the journal serves as a robust platform for launching innovative, critical, and rigorous research that addresses both classical Islamic tradition (turath) and contemporary societal dynamics.

The journal welcomes multidisciplinary perspectives and high-quality contributions from scholars worldwide, covering areas such as Islamic thought, law, education, history, philosophy, and socio-religious movements. By fostering global academic dialogue, Bidayah aims to bridge foundational Islamic principles with modern intellectual discourses to provide meaningful insights for global challenges.
