Abstract

Religious moderation has become an important issue in contemporary society due to the increasing challenges of intolerance, radicalism, and social conflict arising from differences in religious understanding. This study aims to analyze the concept of religious moderation education from the perspective of the Qur'an and Tarbawi Hadith and to examine its relevance to contemporary social life. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were collected through documentation of Qur'anic verses, Tarbawi Hadiths, and relevant literature, and then analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings indicate that religious moderation education in the Qur'an and Hadith is based on the values of wasatiyyah (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), i'tidal (justice), and tawazun (balance). These values play a significant role in shaping individuals with noble character, mutual respect, social responsibility, and harmonious relationships within a pluralistic society. Furthermore, the implementation of religious moderation education contributes to preventing extremism and strengthening social cohesion. In conclusion, the Qur'an and Tarbawi Hadith provide a comprehensive educational framework for fostering moderate, inclusive, and peaceful religious attitudes in contemporary society.
