PENDEKATAN PEDAGOGIK DALAM PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR’AN DAN HADIS TARBAWI SERTA IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN ISLAM KONTEMPORER

Abstract

This article aims to analyze a pedagogical approach based on the Qur’an and Tarbawi Hadith as a framework for developing a holistic and character-oriented model of Islamic education. The study employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach by examining the Qur’an, tarbawi hadiths, and contemporary academic literature on Islamic education. The findings indicate that Qur’anic–Hadith-based educational principles emphasize the integration of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, spiritual, and social dimensions within the processes of tarbiyah, ta’lim, and ta’dib. The concept of insan mutakamil emerges as the ideal educational goal in Islam, combining intellectual competence with moral integrity, spiritual maturity, and social responsibility. Methodologically, the study reveals that the methods of hiwar (dialogue), qishah (storytelling), uswah hasanah (exemplary modeling), and tadrib (habituation) can be creatively integrated with modern instructional strategies to strengthen value internalization. The study also identifies several implementation challenges, includin curriculum fragmentation, limited teacher competence, and assessment practices that remain predominantly cognitive. Therefore, this article recommends curriculum reform, the enhancement of teachers’ pedagogical and spiritual competencies, and the development of holistic assessment systems to optimize the implementation of Qur’anic–Hadith-based pedagogy in contemporary Islamic education.
