Author Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing to JALALAIN: Journal of Qur’an and Hadith. We invite high-quality scholarly works from academics, researchers, lecturers, and postgraduate students focusing on Qur’anic studies, Hadith interpretation, and Islamic scholarship in general.

To facilitate a smooth editorial and peer-review process, authors are kindly requested to follow these submission guidelines:

  1. Submission Criteria:
    Submitted manuscripts must be original, research-based, and free from any form of plagiarism or duplication. The article must not be under consideration or previously published in another journal or publication platform.

  2. Manuscript Format:
    Articles should be written in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) using Book Antiqua font, size 12, with single line spacing on A4 paper. The length of the manuscript should range between 4,000–10,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

  3. Language and Title:
    Manuscripts may be written in academic English or Bahasa Indonesia. Titles must be concise, informative, and not exceed 15 words.

  4. Abstract and Keywords:
    Each article should include an abstract of 150–250 words, summarizing the research objective, methodology, key results, and conclusions. Please provide 3–5 keywords relevant to the article’s content. The abstract must be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

  5. Author Information:
    The first page of the manuscript must clearly state the full name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation(s), and a valid email address for correspondence. In the case of multiple authors, the corresponding author must be indicated.

  6. Citation and Reference Style:
    All references should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure accuracy and consistency in citation formatting.

  7. Review Process:
    All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review. The editorial team reserves the right to make minor editorial adjustments without changing the substance of the paper.

  8. Ethical Compliance:
    Authors must ensure that their work adheres to academic integrity standards and ethical research principles, including proper acknowledgment of sources and avoidance of fabricated data or misleading citations.

By submitting a manuscript to JALALAIN, authors agree to comply with the journal’s ethical publication standards and consent to the peer-review procedures established by the editorial board.
